What is Milk Thistle?
Milk Thistles are thistles of the genus Silybum Adans: flowering plants of the daisy family(Asteraceae). It is commonly found growing wild in a variety of settings, including roadsides. The dried fruit (also called achenes) are used to produce modern herbal extracts. They contain a flavonoid complex known as silymarin.
What Does Milk Thistle Do?
May help to maintain a healthy liver and gallbladder. As with other bioflavonoids, silymarin is a powerful antioxidant.
Ingredients
Each capsule contains:
Milk Thistle Extract 35:1 163mg Providing 80% Silymarin 130.4mg.
(Equivalent to 5600mg of Pure Milk Thistle)
Other Ingredients:
Microcrystalline Cellulose, Stone Ground Rice, Magnesium Stearate.
Directions for Use
Take three capsules daily with meals.
Caution
• Do NOT exceed the Stated Dose.
• Store in a cool dry place.
• NOT intended for use by persons under the age of 18.
• Always consult your GP before taking Nutritional Supplements.
• Consult you GP if pregnant or lactating
• Keep out of reach of children.
• You should not take supplements as a substitute for a varied balanced diet.

• Since silymarin may stimulate liver and gallbladder activity, it may have a mild, transient laxative effect in some people. This will usually cease within two to three days.
